CDs

 

 

Supported Disc Formats:

CD-R, CD-RW, Business Card (Hockey Rink), Shape CDs, MiniCDs

 

Technical Process:

Depending on the type of disc needed or the quantity ordered CDs are duplicated or replicated.  Duplicated discs are copied from any original (master) CD and burned onto a blank recordable CD (CD-R).  Labels are printed on the disc (printable CD-R) using a high-resolution inkjet style printer.  Replicated CDs are mass produced from a Glass Master made from files from a disc or other electronic storage media.  The disc are stamped out utilizing a press and injection system molding them from a material made of raw polycarbonate plastic.  Labels are screen printed directly on the disc.

 

Quality Control: 

All CD-R duplication discs are verified by comparison to the original CD master.  In addition they are spot checked for function on a device that the disc is made to operate on.  Replicated CDs undergo a very extensive QC process through out the mastering and molding steps.  Material is tested for consistency and discs are verified for standards required by the Compact Disc Forum and other licensing requirements of the equipment manufacturer.

 

 

 

DVDs

DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD (5) (9)

 

Technical Process:

Like the CD format, depending on the type of disc needed or the quantity ordered DVDs are duplicated or replicated.  Duplicated discs are copied from any original (master) DVD (recordable or other) and burned onto a blank recordable DVDs.  By default we use the DVD-R format.  Labels are printed on the disc (printable DVD-R) using a high-resolution inkjet style printer.  Replicated DVDs are mass produced from a Glass Master made from files from a disc or other electronic storage media.  The disc are stamped out utilizing a press and injection system molding them from a material made of raw polycarbonate plastic.  Labels are screen printed directly on the disc.

All DVD-R duplication discs are verified by comparison to the original DVD master.  In addition they are spot checked Once transferred to DVD all discs are checked from start to end in a minimum of four different DVD brand players for function on a device that the disc is made to operate on.  Replicated DVDs undergo a very extensive QC process through out the mastering and molding steps.  Material is tested for consistency and discs are verified for standards required by the DVD Forum and other licensing requirements of the equipment manufacturer.

 

 

Video Tape

 

 

Supported Disc Formats:

VHS, DV, DVCAM, MiniDV/CAM, BETACAM SP

 

Technical Process:

Regardless of the format duplication equipment is real-time and SP mode, requiring the proper amount of magnetic tape custom loaded in the cassette.  VHS copies receive the signal through a time base correction system and is sourced directly from the original (master) tape.  Each duplicator is individually sourced by distribution amplifiers for consistent copies by all machines.  DV copies are created by using the IEEE 1394 (firewire) interface on the duplication equipment from a computer based master.  BETACAM SP are recorded using component signals from the original source or though a transcoder from a different source format.

 

Quality Control: 

Every tape copied is checked for quality of signal.  Videos are monitored during the entire duplication process for audio and video issues.

 

 

A free master copy is kept on file for archive purposes and

additional copies if needed!
